Ottawa to Host National Transportation Day Celebrations on June 3, 2004
Ottawa is set to host National Transportation Day events that will officially kick-off National Transportation Week 2004.
This year's theme is "Transportation Innovation and Accessibility". Events include an expert panel discussion entitled "The Future of Transportation Business in an Accessible World" and a gala dinner at the Ottawa Congress Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2004.
The panel discussion will feature expert panelists from WestJet, Greyhound Canada, Ottawa International Airport Authority and Rocky Mountaineer Railtours. Canadian Transportation Agency Chairman, Marian Robson, will act as moderator for the discussion.
The event is open to everyone and is free of charge.
The gala dinner will take place in the evening when the NTW Person-of-the-Year Award will be presented. The keynote speaker for this event is The Honorable Tony Valeri, Minister of Transport and Honorary Chair of National Transportation Week.
