Ottawa – February 24, 2003

Speaking at the 3^rd Annual Port/Government Interface sponsored by the Association of Canadian Port Authorities in Ottawa on February 24, Federal Minister of Transport, David Collenette, announced that the long-awaited Transportation Blueprint will be released on Tuesday, February 25, 2003.

“Tomorrow I will be releasing the final blueprint document.  I believe the policy framework it will set out will allow the transportation system to meet the economic, social and environmental needs of the next decade and beyond”, said Minister Collenette.

The Blueprint document will be available on the Transport Canada website, www.tc.gc.ca/aboutus/straightahead/vision/menu.htm, at 1000 hours EST, February 25, 2003.
